Those with the Earthway, what plate do you use for parsnips?  I used the beet plate and knew it was too thick when 5000 seeds seeded 100 feet, and they are thick.  I didn’t think the holes in the spinach plate were big enough, but ????

Please, no rants on the Earthway. I haven’t had the privilege of using a more expensive seeder to know the difference, and it works pretty well for me.

I use the beet plate; but I often get poor germination on parsnips.

I'd be curious to know what others use.

(You could try various plates before actually seeding: put a little seed in and spin the wheel with one hand while holding the other under the planting shoe; or even run it across a piece of cardboard or paper and see what comes out.)
