We planted 4 row of corn 115 feet long thinking to use it just for our CSA's ...Crows left us 12 plants!  We have an an acre planted outside of town but it will be a late corn; planted it 1" deep hoping this will discourage them when they have to dig and work hard to get the swollen kernal. We also had 2 Canadian Geese come in...there is only one now! and it hasn't been back.

Hanging ornaments interest me; had some tomatoe damage last year but since the crows were so bad on the corn don't want to take a chance. I presume by color you mean RED?

Our other pest of the season has been Potato Beetles; any suggestions?
