I am going to try long twist ties instead of rubber bands this year on my flower bouquets. The rubber bands would often snag on a stem and bend or break it while I was trying to put them together.
I bought flowers at the grocery store where I work just to have in the cold, winter since all of mine are gone. It was tied with twist ties and I had the "light bulb" moment and started looking on line to get some for myself.
So google 6" twist ties and you should get some sites.

Can you all tell me what else I can use to tie up bundles of carrots, beets,
green onions, etc, instead of rubber bands? I am allergic to rubber bands.

I bought ribbon last season, but need something cheaper. I thought about
Christmas curling ribbon, but am unsure if it fades.

Thank you.
