Lynn,

Insight from the insurance co viewpoint: The policy has limits, be
it $1 mil, $10 mil, $100 million. The insurance company asks "What if there
is a judgment entered that exceeds the payout limit?" Then whomever SS# is
given is liable for the balance; the insurance co is not going to be on the
hook for it. The more you know......

Who is this Farmers' Market Alliance of Western Pennsylvania? I
live here and haven't herd of them. Don't bet on it being a good deal until
you compare with other companies, no matter who is sponsoring this Alliance.
Personal example: I used to belong to Farm Bureau to get good insurance
rates (I thought). Looking at a significant rate increase in 1999 (that I
was unable to get a satisfactory for why it increased) I started shopping
the open market. Long story short, I ended up with 3 times the coverage
limits for 1/2 the pre-1999 premium. Needless to say I dropped the Farm
Bureau insurance like a bad habit.

Donegal Mutual Insurance out of Lancaster County had been writing
some good coverage at reasonable rates (no, that's not who I insure with
<-full disclosure) and had been expanding into some of the harder to find
ag-related insurances; they might be able to help. Another recent entry
into the ag-insurance field has been PA Farmers Union, yell if you need
contact info.

Good Luck,
Doyle
