You can get some of the Comedy Central shows (Daily Show, Colbert Report) free on Hulu.com. Maybe there are some shows from Cartoon Network there, too.

When I let go of my extended cable, I really missed my daily dose of Jon Stewart. Now I can get all his shows one day later. It isn't the whole enchalada... but it's something!!

They do not. I ask them about this often. All I want is Comedy Central and Cartoon Network.

I don't believe that there are any US carriers that sell ala carte cable.

The only way I know of to get ala carte cable is with a C-band (8 foot
diameter) dish. Often referred to as a BUD or Big Ugly Dish.
