Perl has the DBD::ODBC module which will use native drivers. The JDBC
driver that Craig wrote is Type IV, so the C code is not an issue or even
usable.

Sqsh I could see I suppse, but I believe that you can just snarf sqsh
linked against the sybase libs, or compile/link it yourself (I believe MS
has the libs on the developer site).

Not saying that it wouldn't be possible, but I can't think of anything you
can do with FreeTDS vs using the native drivers...

In any case, not that it makes a real difference.
