Kia ora koutou

I have noticed a few addresses dropping off the list recently. Nobody
has given any specific reasons for leaving, and it may just be
people's work emails closing down as they change jobs, and the list
software removing their bouncing address. It did get me thinking
though, if we want this to be a vibrant discussion space for the
community of practice around CC in Aotearoa, we need to remember to
tell new people that the list exists, and encourage them to join and
contribute.

At the same time, it also got me to wondering what people's thoughts
are about the functions of this list. Are we here to receive news and
announcements about the progress of the various organs which make up
the formal framework of CC ANZ (Legal Team, Advisory Panel, Public
Lead and helpers) Are we here so the Public Lead can consult us about
what the Host Organisation intends to do with CC ANZ as a project? Are
we here to share resources, news, announcements, links, and opinions?
All three? None of the above? Something else?

Perhaps this is something we can take away from the keyboard, reflect
on, and discuss with people over our summer breaks? I'd be interested
to read people's view on the subject when I get back to the office in
Jan.
