After you run pppsetup, Ctrl-X should save the settings.
pppsetup is a script to edit two configuration files.
which pppsetup /usr/sbin/pppsetup (at least in BL2)
edits eznet.conf (used by eznet dialer) and resolv.conf
(assigns DNS numbers). If you are booting from floppy
disk, you can save these files to the floppy disk.
