I used to use Outlook and had problems with it. It would hang my entire system and do other annoying things. I finally dumped that and went with the straight Gmail web interface, but it is limited and has its own issues. I just recently downloaded Thunderbird, however - it is still too new to me to know how I'll like it, but so far, so good - at least it hasn't caused a major freeze-up on my 'puter yet. If I can live happily with Thunderbird, then my issues with Gmail will be largely resolved.

Why don't you like GMail, Gloria? If it's just their web interface, you
can use whatever email client you want. I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird
(basically an open-source clone of Outlook Express, w/o all the file
corruption issues of OE) to access my GMail account as POP3, and it
works fine. I'm not enamored with GMail's web interface, but I never
really bothered to learn it, since I don't really use it too often.
