Steve,

Any particular reason the BinaryXMLCodec wouldn't work here?
Using the codec in combination with RMI is a lot faster than any standard Java serialization could ever be...

Hello,

I have a little feature request for some future version of Xom: nodes
that are Serializable.

I am trying to share bits of a Xom graph over RMI, and can't really
doing without turning things back into XML and back. Which works (with
the usual overheads) for full documents, but not so well for the
little bits.

Is there an underlying reason why this is impossible, or is it just
lack of time/need, in which case I will sit down and do it
