Elliotte, the link is not accessible.

MSIE does not recognize the MIME type and offers me to save the document.
Netscape 7.1 on win2k gives this error msg:

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed Location: http://cafeconleche.org/XOM/tutorial.xhtml Line Number 999, Column 88: Instead it uses a <tt class="classname">NodeFactory</tt>, summarized in <a hError: no ID for constraint linkend: NodeLister. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------^

What about writing HTML document in good old tag-soup?
Let's face it, XHTML on the web offers much less than zero value.
Only extra troubles....

I've finished the first draft of the XOM tutorial. You can find it online here:

I've added a lot of content and filled in quite a few missing pieces over the last week so if you haven't looked at it lately, you may want to look at it again now.

I will note that this is not intended to be comprehensive. There's a lot that's left to the API documentation and the design prinicples document. The main purpose of this is to get someone new to XOM up to speed It aims to show them what XOM can do, and let them get started writing code quickly.

At this point I'm open for any comments anyone has, ranging from spelling errors, grammatical mistakes and code bugs to missing topics and poorly explained subjects.

For what it's worth, I've also updated the future directions document with some more thoughts about what may or may not appear in XOM post-1.0:
