Tune in Friday, at 5pm for a very special leap year edition of The Global Music Show! This month, WXYC DJ Ainsley Morse, will interview visiting Kyrgyz scholars, Sheradil Baktygulov and Sairagul Matikeeva, about The Silk Road: Music Across the Kyrgyz Mountains. This particular show is brought to the air by a wonderful partnership between WXYC, Carolina Center for the Study of the Middle East and Muslim Civilizations and the Center for Slavic, Eurasian, and East European Studies.

On Wednesday at 9pm, the fine folks down at the Feedback Farm will be playing with the perennial caveman favorite, Fire! Listen, call in and hope that nobody gets horribly burned.

On Sunday at 8pm, the Back Yard BBQ, WXYC's home for local music, is the place to listen to a live in-studio performance and interview with James Dunn.

Also, on Monday and Friday at 9pm for the Inside Track, where a new record is played in it's entirety. On Monday, we have the Magnetic Fields latest, "Distortion," and on Friday, we have "Dirty Acres" the fourth full-length from Kentucky-based hip hop outfit CunninLynguists with some notable guest emcee spots from other WXYC favorites like Devin the Dude and Little Brother's own Phonte.
