We set this in /etc/yum.conf under the [main] section to keep only 2 kernels, it defaults to 3, we like to keep the previous kernel in case
we need to go back to it:
installonly_limit = 2

There was mention in the 11am meeting of Qualys complaining about old
kernels. On RHEL 6 hosts with yum-utils, this will leave you with only the
newest kernel:
sudo package-cleanup --oldkernels --count=1
Hat tip to D. Romani in Library Systems for that.
