I am trying to get Fedora core 2 to see a external usb hard drive
(Maxtor 300Gig). I have tried to follow directions on this web site and
others and set
this up but to no avail and/or success. I have attached the following
files to this email so you can see what I've been doing. I thought that
FC2 would be better for USB support but I guess I have some more work to
do. Let me know what you think. Thxs all.
p.s,
My device is reconized as /dev/sda when I do a dmesg and I made a
directory called /mnt/usbdisk
but these didn't fly.

Instructions for attaching a USB mass storage device:

2. Find exact path (/dev/???) for the USB mass storage device partition
3. add info to /etc/fstab
4. mount

note the number of your usb device (eg: scsi3)
