Hi,

Since two days, my auth.log is saturated with logs like:
Feb 22 00:12:49 xxxxx agetty[3759]: /dev//dev/tty1: No such file or directory

I edited my inittab, agetty entries were defined as following:
tty1:linux:/sbin/agetty /dev/tty1 9600
So it explained the logs, but not why complains came 2 days ago
(the sourcemage is a 1 month freshly installed) since I didn't
edited the inittab, just one time to add a getty on serial line.

To correct this, I changed entries to:
tty1:linux:/sbin/agetty tty1 9600

But, the problem is that when I do an 'init q' to reread the inittab, I got:
init: started in user space, abort with Ctrl-\ (SIGQUIT)
init: cannot open inittab
init: error opening fifo
init: error writing init.pid

If anyone can help.

Regards,
Nikolas Olivier
