Or, once you've tested the 2.6.x+NPTL kernel and glibc and decided you
preferred them, you could do a sorcery rebuild to make sure all of your
installed applications take advantage of NPTL. (Or maybe they already do
that if they link against the shared glibc? :) Or if you upgrade your system
and want to take advantage of your new CPU's capabilities.

Basically, when you cast files they will be optimized for your selected
architecture. You only want to rebuild when you change those optimizations,
or for any other reason you want to go back and recompile everything with
your new optimizations.
