- Subject: [SM-Users] patching kernel when casting linux

Another question:
I have to patch my kernel to enable mppe support, because my isp uses
pptp for their adsl lines :(, always been a pain.
This is what I did last time:
I think the source is stored at /usr/src, so after the download and
when asked if I wanted to add cofig options I said yes. Then added the
patch to the source in /usr/src, and then manually adjusted the kernel
makefile to add mppe as a module.
Then let it go again, to complete.
I am wondering if there is a better way to do this? Because the
patching has to happen when you are already choosing the config
options.
