I had samba installed and working ok, but since the last update on Dec 21, to
Samba 2.2.7a, I have some problems.

Samba is started from init.d

smbd process is running

smbclient -L localhost
smbclient -L sourcemage

both work ok.

but, the following commands fail:

http://localhost:901/
Your request for http://localhost:901/ could not be fulfilled, because the
connection to localhost (127.0.0.1) could not be established.

# mount /knowhow
23316: Connection to Margaret failed

SMB connection failed

##fstab
//Margaret/C /knowhow smbfs noauto,username=margaret,user 0 2

and I can't see //sourcemage from the windows box

Does anybody have any suggestions?
I am using PAM
The smb.conf file has not changed
