That's because the grimoire people believe that if you have to do something in
at least two spells, there are going to be lots more down the road (or already
in the grimoire) that will need it as well, and that cuts down on duplication
in spells. Then, when we find a bug in the way we do some method that's used
in
more than one spell, we only have to fix it in one spot, instead of searching
around trying to find all of the spells that use it.
