This is evident in stable sorcery also. I just did a rebuild last night and
as an example linux failed because the /etc/sorcerl/local/depends/linux file
should have read
ERNEL_VERSION=2.4.22
openMosix=2.4.22-om-20031215.bz2
CONFIG_KERNEL=n
but instead it had this in it
CONFIG_KERNEL=n
INITDSCRIPTS="xinetd "
INITDSCRIPTS_DISABLED=""

root@Gargamaell:~# sorcery --version
1.7.1

I think a fixed stable release might be in order ?
