RH 9 box:
# cat redhat-release
Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike)

# cat issue
Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike)
Kernel 2.4.20-13.9smp on an i686

My Gentoo box is off at the moment, so I cannot check it.
