How about having an option to separate the compilation and installation
steps of a spell?
While I'm happy with sorcery upgrading most spells without really
keeping an eye on what it's doing, for a few system-critical spells I
want to be there during the upgrade to make sure that things work
afterwards. At the moment, upgrading say openssh is a bit of a lottery,
as it takes an unspecified amount of time to compile, so I don't know
how long to sit in front of the computer before testing to make sure
that everything still works.
What would be good would be something like:
jack@localhost:/# cast --compile-only --queue
jack@localhost:/# cast --install-only xfree86 openssh
where sorcery would do everything up to INSTALL on the first go through,
and merely execute INSTALL and POST_INSTALL the second time around.
Thoughts?

Howdy,
thank you very much for librunlevel, it is great.
Some small flaws:
If you choose "Invoke sshd at boot via init? [y] y" init script is
copied to /etc/init.d and init links are created.
If you choose "Invoke sshd at boot via init? [y] n" links are not
created (it is good) but init script IS NOT copied too.
Please, is it possible to copy init script (for example sshd.sh) to
/etc/init.d in both cases ?
For example if you do not want spell to boot it via init, but you want
to start, stop and restart it via /etc/init.d/spell.sh.
Another small flaw:
It is possible to start some spell via xinetd and via init too (for
example openssh), but it can not be simultaneously.
Is it possible to treat it by sorcery, do not ask 2 question, if you
choose yes for xinetd do not ask for init ?
It is possible to change order of questions ?
I think more people prefer start openssh via init not via xinetd.
Invoke ssh via xinetd? [y]
Invoke sshd at boot via init? [y]
