I'd preffer that if you are 'accepting a bug' you mark it as 'accepted'.

Sometimes we have a better idea of a way something needs to be implemented,
specifically if we are working on other things affecting the implementation
method. So we 'assign' them to ourselves so no one else implements it
the "wrong way".
