I dont know of any place in sorcery where this would be used, its an answer
to a
problem we dont currently seem to have. If its something spells could use, but
doesn't interface with some sorcery internals then it goes in a grimoire
library. Sorcery isn't a dumping ground for functions (there are a number of
reasons for this).

One thing to consider doing is to pass a name of a variable to set the final
value to rather than echo the results, using $() or ` ` invoke a subshell
which
requires a lot of overhead. Things like DETAILS should be fairly fast to
execute. The second if statement is redundant, the while loop serves the same
purpose
