Summary: Abstraction for the spells state in sorcery
Product: Sorcery
Version: Untargetted future release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Gaze
AssignedTo: sm-sorcery-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: dmlb2000 AT gmail.com
It would be nice to have an interface for the users to obtain information
about
the state of the spell according to sorcery. There are probably going to be
interfaces that need to be implemented.
here's a small list of what I'm thinking of:
dump of all environment variables when the build process happens.
dump of the spell files (in some nice formated fashion)
dump of the spell_config and spell_config.p
dump of all depends, optional_depends and subdepends (enabled or disabled)
dump of roots used
dump of the sources and where they were from specifically.
dump of the section and grimoire files used
dump of the source check state (whether the user chose to use an unvalidated
source tarball or one that failed validation)
dump of sorcery variables from /etc/sorcery/local/config when the spell was
installed
dump of sorcery version used when spell was installed
I was thinking something like `gaze state $SPELL $COMMAND` where each one of
the
lines above would be assigned a command. I'm not sure if all of the above
stated
is implemented either.
