Summary: mention SOURCE_IGNORE in unpack_file docs
Product: Sorcery
Version: Untargetted future release
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: Documentation
AssignedTo: sm-sorcery-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: sergey AT sourcemage.org

I didn't find the analog of MD5[x]=IGNORE for the new hash checking features.
My
primary source is in the bug's URL. If I use SOURCE_HASH='IGNORE' I get this:

hash checking source file trac-HEAD.tar.bz2...
algorithm IGNORE is not known!

Using MD5[x]=IGNORE still works so I'm filing this as an enhancement. I don't
know if something like that was even planned for inclusion into new hash
checking code.

------- Additional Comments From acedit AT armory.com 2005-08-29 21:13 -------
the new functionality is
SOURCE_IGNORE=<reason>

Reason can be one of volatile, signature, or unversioned. You would use
volatile
if you're pulling through an scm, or unversioned if you're just using an
unversioned tarball someone else makes.

Would you like this repurposed as a doc enhancement?

Sure, it'd be nice if the page in URL included this info. Thanks!
