I personally think it'd be best suited as a spell, otherwise it has to tag
along
with the obscenly slow sorcery release process, its still rapidly developing
code and is probably going to have lots of updates, most people wont see those
updates unless they switch to devel sorcery, which has its own downfalls. OTOH
if its a spell they can just recast it, in fact, had it been a spell all this
time more people could have been using the development version of it. Also, Im
personally never going to use Enthrall for anything other than testing
purposes
because I dont ever use menus except for in my web-browser, and even then,
thats
pushing it. So in that aspect its not really nice to force a menu generator on
everyone through the package manager when they might not ever use any of it...
Instead it could be an optional depends from basesystem, or from the window
managers it supports, or xorg, or ....
As far as being integrated with sorcery, how integrated is it? does it use
sorcery routines for things? all i know is that sorcery automatically installs
some .desktop files for it but thats a bit indepent of enthrall if you ask me.
We could of course migrate the entrall code over to //sgl/misc/enthrall so you
can still have revision control (we could even setup some autogeneration for
it), then just write a spell for it.
