------- Additional Comments From benoit.papillault AT sourcemage.org 2004-12-01

Great i did not know that gcc 3.4.3 was in devel grimoire. Are there problem
using it instead of gcc 3.3.3? gcc 3.4.3 is needed on ppc for instance to
compile glibc NPTL and it fails to compile yaboot (but a patch is already
available to fix yaboot).

Thus, why not considering moving gcc 3.4.3 to test and then stable?

One last question, who (in the gcc team?) decided on the meaning of "k8" or
"athlon-xp" names? is there a documentation about them? So far, I found
nothing
except the list of the names in the man page. Is that enought?
