To really do this right is a pretty big undertaking, but I agree its a
good idea, and thank you for reporting it.

As a workaround you can always su to root and only have to enter that password
once. Alternatively you can check out sudo which will allow you to run certain
commands as root. You can configure it to ask you for /your/ password once
every now and then, or never... Then you can alias cast to sudo cast.
