I think all we're saying is that rather than ignore all, keep md5s on those
two
cases that don't change that often. It's tighter; if it's not HEAD or MAIN,
it
will change the md5 with a checkout, but we'll see a notice about the md5
change
in that case anyways (telling the spellwriter that something needs to be
looked
at). If it is HEAD or MAIN, it will use export, which is more equivalent to a
real static release I'm assuming.
Perhaps CVS should use export instead of checkout in _all_ cases, since I can
imagine no instance where we will want to commit back into the upstream tree
_from the spell_.
Would that be cleaner, or is there some advantage to using checkout to us when
downloading sources for compilation on something other than HEAD or MAIN?
