specifically, no , I can't help. I know /etc/modprobe.* replace the 2.4
series /etc/modules.* files, and I know generate-modprobe.conf converts your
old 2.4 series file into the new format (on stdout, hence the redirect > ).
the /etc/modules file solution is only available because our modutils script
parses that file and loads all listings.
start off with the man pages and if they are no good, then google, tldp or
even lkml should yield you the information you need.
