I have been in touch with the author of the BLFS patches for j2sdk and
openoffice (Tushar Teredesai)
He tells me there are three syntax erros/typos in the OO sources that 1.4.2
jdk will choke on.
Good news is he pointed me to a patch for it.
Even better news is he has started working on using system libs without
building all the external modules!
It is still not working apparently but is very promising. ANyone interested
can find it on the lfs website http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/patches
I will update the openoffice spell with the jdk patch later when I get time,
I
will test the build also and am trying to update db also so it might be a day
or two before it gets into the grimoire.
