Being the rookie I am I didn't save error messages. The build was running for
2 hrs + when it failed with java errors, if that helps any.
I have a full sdk install obtained from Sun's website. It is installed on a
seperate partion and linked to from /usr.

and /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_02/bin/java is a valid path
