not sure what your problem is, I looked at this yesterday and managed to get
it working reasonably well. That is until it comes across some code that is
allergic to gcc3.3.X (fairly early in the build)
I have almost completed a build with gcc3.2.3, have little idea about where
to
start with for the gcc3.3.X errors but am attaching the what I have for you
to play around with.
I have disabled the LFS patches and added one for the 1.4.2 version.
I have left patches listed in DETAILS for now. Until we have a working spell,
I am unsure if the patches might need updating/ modifying to cleanly apply to
the 1.4.2 version, or wheteher they are unneeded altogether.
It also now depends on alsa-libs and is reported to depend on unixODBC so
that
has been added.
Like I said the code seems to only be compatible with gcc3.2.X not gcc3.3.X
