What will be the simplest way to flag a spell as not ready for integration ?
it needs to be simple ?
often broken spells are getting integrated just because the integrator
doesn't
know there is a problem with the spell.
A minor example ( and maybe a bad one) is orbitcpp and libbonobomm
the libbonobomm version now in stable doesn't compile against the version of
orbitcpp in the same grimoire, but if the orbitcpp spell in test had a 0 byte
WIP file it wouldn't have been integrated and stable wouldn't now be broken
and in need of attention. ( I am not trying to blame anyone,I have done the
same thing and regretted it, I just want these niggling bugs eradicated
through a good procedures not hard work after the fact.)
It would be easy to simply touch */$section/$spell/WIP && p4 add */$section/
$spell/WIP to avoid these issues later on .
Would this be a good idea or am I just typing to hear the sound of my own
keyboard ?
Hamish
