hehe
here I am !
test grimoire only works with devel sorcery for a little while due to
depends==requires now in devel sorcery.
I "had" to finish off my conversion of xfree86 based optional_depends to the
new x11-libs x11-server style in the test grimoire and that meant only using
devel sorcery (quite workable due to heroic efforts from sorcery Team)
So, summary
1) test grimoire needs devel sorcery
2) "afraid of devel sorcery" == "must use stable grimoire until next sorcery
release"
THe test grimoire "does" have a message in it telling you this (displayed
during scribe update) but if you are adding the grimoire after a fresh
install then you probably wouldn't get the message.
Hamish

ps I saw your query a few hours ago but thought you must be sick of talking
to
me so waited for someone else to give you the details. :)
