UPDATED would force building even if the spell only has Python as an
optional dependency and it was never selected by the user. It may have
meant less rebuilding for people overall, but maybe the ones who actually
used Python should be the ones taking the brunt of the work to get Python
to work with their system and updating properly. ;)
A better idea would be a trigger tied to an expiration date or an exect
version.
Why do we have triggers _on_ Python anyways? Some people may not have
recently cast those spells that depend on Python, and thus the triggers
never get set if I understand correctly. I think the solution would be
much better to just grep the depends state file and put a script at the
end of Python that updates on a version update. Better yet a trigger on
version updates might be more natural:
on_major_update Python cast_self
on_minor_update Python cast_self
on_any_update Python cast_self
Implementation is, of course, left as an exercize for the reader.
