Tony obviously know's this but others may not, we can roll back the perforce
deletion of those spells and help avoid the problem for anyone else.
Does everyone think it is a good idea ?
The current xfree86 spell doesn't depend on these spells so it would purely
be
for compatibility reasons or should we make xfree86 conflict on these spells
so they get dispelled before xfree86 is cast ?
Also Tony xfree86 4.3.0 seems to rely on freetype2 2.1.4 which sorcery won't
necessarily cast before xfree86 (if it is already installed sorcery won't
order the cast by dedpendencies)
http://bugs.sourcemage.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4252
Anyway the fix is to manually cast freetype2 first or to rearrange the queue
so freetype2 is cast before xfree86.
One more thing, there were some important fixes in the devel version of the
xfree86 spell that needed to go into test and stable.Unfortunately along with
those fixes were the ability to choose to add the devel snapshot patches, I
personally don't use the devel patches as kde desktop switching is broken and
i have also heard that ssh forwarding is broken, but iot is possible
My point is cast -r -c xfree86 will alllow you to choose the patches or not.
