Ok folks,

I've read through all the suggestions. I appreciate the help.

I've recompiled Linux-Pam, gdm2, libbonobo, libbonoboui and
bonobo-activation.

No changes. Then I deleted /etc/pam/d/gdm and /etc/pam.d/gdm-autologin.
Then I recast gdm2.

Now, the automatic log-in works. It has recreated those files.
However, it still takes about 30 seconds for the gdm2 screen to show up
though. I even tried reinitalizing the setttings.

Any other ideas?

Thanx,

Bearcat M. Sandor
