Happened to me too. In BUILD for qt-x11, there is a the line:
"ln -sf /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.${VERSION} /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so"

It seems that VERSIOn is unset at this point, since it made a symlink
"/usr/lib/libqt-mt.so -> /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so."

After making the symlink manually, I still kan't kompile kdebase, although arts and kdelibs went fine.

I have recently changed to qt-3.1 and decided to do a rebuild of all KDE
spells.
First cab of the rank (and all others requiring qt) is kdelibs and it
crashes on the configure
stage saying that I don't have QT >= 3.0.3

After installing qt is there something else required to get system to know
you have it and what version?
I also have QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt .... is this correct?

Craig,
I had the same problem. Chased it down to a dead link in /usr/lib. For some reason the spell does not(is unable to) set "ln -s /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.3.1.0 /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so". I manually created the link and cast of kdelibs worked. Then however, kdebase failed to cast because of some other problem. Haven't resolved kdebase yet. This is on my test system so not critical.

This link problem sounds like a bug, so if someone who knows if it is should perhaps create a bug report. Any ideas Eric?
