I had that!
Quick, boot a rescue cd, mount your hdd partitions, cd
to /mnt/root and try to expand the glibc tarball from
/mnt/root/var/cache/sorcery/
If you're luckier than me, it is still there, and
you'll be able to boot the system again. What has
happened is that glibc was removed before the new
version was installed, leaving you with a bust SMGL...
Good luck! If you don't have the tarball, you'll have
to do the rescue cd stuff, and then choose "transfer
sorcery" from the menu (first backup
/var/state/sorcery/packages*, just to make sure). From
then on, it is the usual steps, sorcery update.
