I wrote the spell up for cabextract already (easy one pager), it's posted in spell submit, along with the url of a site that has a script bashed out already that installs them for you.

The script file is pretty straight forward, and could be pointed anywhere if someone wanted to. It may be similar to what you did. It installed the fonts just fine, using them right now.
Since the fonts are free because Microsoft gave them away in a fit of unusual common sense, and since their EULA is pretty clear on this, we, or anyone really, can post the cab's and use a script like the one at that site to incorporate into a spell to install them. I just wish I had had the fore-sight to save a copy somewhere...
