Reopened: I build xorg-server succesfully prior to pulling this commit. Since
pulling xorg-server has failed to compile due to missing definitions of
mesa-specific symbols.

Before this commit, I found xorg-server cast successfully if mesalib was cast
with build type = dri. I suspect that dri is the correct choice when mesa is a
core component of X under Linux, but I could be wrong.

I feel this patch has been integrated to stable too quickly. If it is the
correct approach, then I would like to see references to mesa/xorg
documentation or code for confirmation.

If the patch is correct, then commit 78aeabe49e456dd69f8b56daa7578d4e1d700548
should be reverted or the text edited. I added text to mesalib CONFIGURE to
indicate the build type that was appropriate for X.
