Well the few reasons that come to mind:
speed improvement and lower memory footprint. After all we wouldn't really use
it for much anything but init scripts and similar stuff.
but if nothing else we should atleast address the issue of bash installing a
sh
symlink... It makes it hard for the user to substitute it for anything else
that
way without breaking the installed bash spell and making it be recast...
