Anything is appreciated...

So if one is to install java-gcj-compat, which requires jcj any ways,
whould one install gcj with JDK emulation tree?

Would gcj + java-gcj-compat be enough to compile icedtea (no bootstrap)?

There are some things not installed when casting gcc with java and
with JDK tree emulation.

Please take a look at:

http://www.sourcemage.org/issues/492

Not sure if those are gone with 4.7.2... As it takes time, I wanted
to know if anyone has tried gcc 4.7.2 with java without problems,
prior to compiling gcc with java again...

This is a bit discouraging... Having to buil/install ecj (probably
eclipse btw)...

Even more discouraging... With latest java problems, even support for
java 6 has been announced to be discontinued by oracle... So one
should think on java 7...

Hmm, I thought there were someones already attempting part of this. I
remember an e-mail where someone mentioned his effort on trying using
gcj and not to depend upon binaries...

I'll look for that and ask directly the person, to see if he has
gotten any success, :-)

Sounds bad then, one really needs icedtead installed if needing a
compliant java...

OK, I have gcc 4.7.2, thanks to a mistaken commit, :-) So perhaps the
1st thing I can do is to re-cast it with java and JDK tree emulation
to start with, and see if that doesn't break cleanse as 4.6.3 did...

Any ways as I re-compiled everything with native arch again, java is
broken on this x86 machine, :-) And there-s no java binary working,
not even the one compiled on the same machine with i686 arch, neither
IBM, oracle or gentoo binaries, which is weird... So the only hope is
to build everything from scratch, :-)

We'll see.

Any other comments are also welcome, :-)
