Or hack the build scripts to not touch that file.

Consider this an incentive to help hammer on stage-root. If the file lies
outside whats listed in /var/lib/sorcery/configs (/etc), you should add
the file or directory to a "configs" filter file (at any level in the
grimoire). Then sorcery will know to treat it specially.
