It should be tracked as it's necessary for XKB to work correctly.

Do either of you know what modified it? It could be added to the
volatiles list for the spell.

That's my question (poorly phrased originally). All the files in
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/rules are dated April 7, except for xfree86.xml and
xkb.dtd that are dated May 18. I'm using XFCE that got a big update (4.2.2)
yesterday, which I received and recompiled all the spells. I didn't change any
configuration or environment settings though. i also tried to install
gnome2-profile yesterday, which failed on a few spells, including libxklavier
that may be somehow related to these files.
