It's good to hear that the new udev works just fine now. Having switched from
static /dev to devfs a while ago I followed the discussion on udev with some
interest. I'm not entirely sure why I would want to swtich from devfs to udev,
though, except for the fact that devfs seems to be obsolete in 2.6.x kernels.

So, I was wondering:
- why would I want to switch?
- will there be a document similar to "HOWTO-devfsd setup" on our wiki to
guide "simple users like me" through the process? For example, I would be
interested to know how to convert some of the rules in my devfsd.conf to
udev.
