Hi,

Currently, nedit depends on lesstif. The current version of lesstif (0.93.36) has a bug that causes no response in any child windows opened in nedit. A way around this is to use openmotif instead of lesstif. Apparently, there are problems with using openmotif-2.2.2 with nedit in redhat but I'm not sure if it's particular to redhat. I tried to compile openmotif-2.2.2 but I get the problem below. I searched the web with little help. Can anyone help me with this problem??

In the meantime I compiled openmotif-2.2.1 and nedit. Nedit can open a responsive child window. But I would like to get openmotif-2.2.2 to compile, especially since it is in the stable grimoire.

Cheers, Duane.

Openmotif-2.2.2 compile error:

make[3]: *** No rule to make target `animate.c', needed by `all-am'. Stop.
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/openMotif-2.2.2/demos/programs/animate'
