hey, all!

For some strange reason or the other, I can't recast gcc, various other spells previously cast (I assume that procps is a basic requirement for sorcery) are missing in action, etc. It started with cast complaining that it couldn't find "ps" when I attempted to recast gcc, then being unable to cast procps (wouldn't compile), after I restored procps from a backup cache I burnt to a cd a while back (ps --version = 2.07)and tried to recast procps I get:

make: expand.c:489: allocated_variable_append: Assertion `current_variable_set_list->next != 0' failed.
/tmp/casting.15348: line 12: 16276 Aborted /usr/bin/make -j $MAKE_NJOBS "$@"

argh...

I'll start filing bug reports when I get home from work.

Now, that all said, my linux box is running just fine, I just can't cast these (few) spells. Normally I go a couple of weeks between doing "sorcery system-update"
